I want something between two people to cool.
Cooling is the gentlest working here. It halts rather than breaks: warmth slows, movement stops, and what was heating up settles into stillness.
Distance rituals ask for room without asking for an ending, which is frequently the real want and rarely the thing that gets said. A separation works the same thread a cord cutting uses, from the other end — shown, stretched thin, and allowed to let go rather than torn apart.
There is also work that closes a way toward somebody before it opens. It acts on the road, not on what anyone feels, and that distinction is the design rather than a footnote on it.
Every ritual is symbolic and works on your own intention. Nothing reaches inside another person, alters what anybody feels, or claims any effect on a relationship you are not standing inside.
That boundary is not negotiable here, and it is worth saying plainly: no ritual on this site will ever offer to decide something on another person's behalf.
