I want to feel lighter and restored.

Three different things sit under this one heading, and knowing which you want saves you the wrong ritual.

If something is stuck to you, you want a cleanse — the day taken off you before it settles in. Smoke, salt and running water are the traditional tools, and they all do the same job: move what you picked up somewhere else.

If your attention has scattered, you want grounding. Weight down, breath slow, contact with the floor. It is the plainest practice here and the most likely to work.

And if you are simply empty, neither of those helps. What you want is the filling: your energy called back from wherever you left it and allowed to settle. That is the end of a long day rather than the middle of a bad one.

None of these examine you or report anything back about your state. They are short, symbolic, and repeatable, and being repeatable is the point — nothing here is a one-time fix, because the traditions they come from never treated it as one.
